Mnemonic(s) 3

BB's mentioned this in the previous post's comment section so I thought I might just add it here for other's benefit as well.. This mnemonic I'm talking about is important for 'universal differential diagnosis.' I like to think of it this way, it's like your checklist trying to cover all the different aspects in which a disease/condition may be presented/caused by etc. So here it is kids..

VINDICATE, V-vascular, I-infection, N-Neurological/neoplasia, D-drugs, I-inflammatory/immune/idiopathic, C-congenital, A-autoimmune, T-trauma, E-endocrine(metabolic)/environment.

Another one I wanna add is not a word mnemonic but rather a phrase this time. This one is for the different hormones that assist in digestion:

'Good Spanish Children Say Muchas Gracias (Very)'

.

G- Gastrin, S- Secretin, C- CCK, S- Somatostatin, M- Motilin, G- Gastroinhibitory peptide (GIP) & (V)- Vasoinhibitory peptide (VIP).

That's all.. BTW, I think Muchas Gracias means Thank you very much in Spanish. Correct me if I'm wrong...
