Movie World..What else...?

Going to Movie World was awesome! I had a blast...It was worth the $62.. At least I went on all the major rides, I even went on the Lethal Weapon twice.. That was just to get the picture hehe.. Other rides like scooby doo rollercoaster and the wild west waterlog was among the best but the most thrilling one was ofcourse the Superman Escape! It was really fast compared to Lethal Weapon. I wish to ride that one again. If my siblings come over, I'd probably take them there. The Shrek 4D was also cool-that was my first time actually (had a similar one in sea world but didn't get to see it). We took pictures A LOT. It's like every 10 seconds someone must take a picture. Well, it took the whole day to go around and the queues were not that bad. The longest was undoubtedly the Superman Escape since that is the main attraction now. Overall it was good, I left the place with a Lethal Weapon T-shirt and some pictures of me & friends on the rides. We even took a pic pretending that we were surrounded by paparazzis- the four of us- Me, Yil, Leah & Farah..Too bad can't upload here :). Our journey back was not fun at all..Had to wait for the bus in the cold for so long..And only arrived in Toowong like around 8 plus or 9 plus not sure. We then ate at Hawken Drive to have dinner. Most of them wanted to eat at 1001 nights but I was craving for the Mee Goreng at Dapur Bali so YJ n Nurul joined. So I guess that was the day...

Change

Today I didn't do much of work. I was distracted. Distracted by many things. I'M still distracted. It's supposed to be a week of break, 2 weeks to be exact. And why can't I enjoy this break without thinking about what's ahead. What's ahead? Ofcourse....none other than the assignments and exams. I can't help myself imagine that it's gonna be like this for the rest of my uni life. I remember saying to myself that all this is nothing & I could go pass it anytime but now, when I'm in it, it's different- it's tough. The only possible thing I could think of that can overcome this is to change. Change for the better. It can be anything. But, the reality is difficult. You just don't want to leave your comfort zone because that's the best place you may think you can thrive on so you think there's no use of changing. It takes you a lot of realisation and guts to change.
Ok, back to my routine life. Last night, I was actually typing out my FIRST (out of probably 6 or 7 pages) page of anat report. Earlier in the afternoon I was out at uni to search for more info from journals (since I couldn't retrieve most of them back at home). Well, those info seemed sufficient to get my report completed that night. Now one major setback bout me on writing reports is that I'm so slow at it. It may take days for me to complete just the first page-& that makes me worried coz I've got MORE to work on. I'm not so sure why, you guys may think it's the distraction from going online, tv, eating etc. I would agree with that but there is something else... Probably I think too much on what to put inside my report that it has to sound right to me. Does that make me a perfectionist? I don't think so... Coz it doesn't work this way with others. Probably just a report perfectionist..haha. Aaa who cares. So that night instead of continuing to work on the first page, I went on to watch the Big Momma's House 2 on dvd. It was hilarious, kinda enjoyed myself, more than enough to put me out of the 'stress'. But that took much of my time. And guess what after that? I went straight to bed.
So today, I went again to the Uni library after sbyg jumat hoping that I could concentrate more. It did help a bit. I managed to typed out something plus I had more information from more searches. Then at 4 went back home to change & dashed straight off to the tennis courts. It felt so long since the last time we played tennis but I think it was only recent. Well had a good time although not satisfied with my 'hits' and servings. Need to play some more.. Addicted :D. Next we went on to play netball at the nearby courts. There's gonna be this BSS netball tournament in like three weeks & we planned on creating our own team. So just now we were like assigning roles to everyone. I think the positions given worked quite well with everyone although some have to be more flexible. My position for the mean time is the goal attacker (GA) and I intend to stick to it but I'm also fine with GS or C and oh yea thanks for the compliment Yil :).
Just now I cooked spaghetti, yum... Actually I was too lazy to cook and thought of just buying mee goreng from Dapur Bali but knowing that I had minced beef stored in the freezer for so long pushed me into cooking. Then watched Home Alone 2 and now I'm doing this... Tomorrow's gonna be a long day. We're finally going to Gold Coast again! This time to Movie World..! I can't wait, especially the 0-100km-in-2seconds ride Superman Escape. I'm just saying this but it all depends tomorrow whether I get chills or not. But for now I'm just excited.
K peeps have a good nyt.. Right now listening to Switchfoot - On fire.
My dedication goes to a long-time friend of mine Ummi Hani on her 21st Birthday. Happy Birthday Ni..

Too much physical?

These past few days have been busy altough it's the Easter Break. As I mentioned in my previous entry, we had a Zikir ceremony on Saturday, then the next day the Pump It day..It was really an enjoyable one..Getting everybody to move and practise healthy games. We've absolutely pumped it! haha.. Eventually the event took one whole day..My legs were in pain I could barely walk properly. Then on Monday, we went to the city in search of food and cutleries for Mai's bday celebration the next day. I actually went to the city a little later but before that the rest of the group went to buy green clothing and accessories especially for Mai's b'day since green is her favourite colour. After all the shopping, Yil & I (after accompanying Farah to UQ sports) joined with the 'netballers' at the Uq netball court. We indeed played a lot longer than usual even though the sky turned dark already. You know why? It was because the huge lights facing the courts were switched on. This rarely happens so we somehow became opportunistic and took the advantage of playing some more until it was 8plus in the evening. Even by then it was still on but we were all too tired already. My legs were aching again... Got back home and watched the latest episode of LOST I had downloaded few days earlier..They're almost into the 2nd season finale and I can't wait. Hmm, so today we went to Kangaroo point for the first time and had the rare chance to see the other side of the city especially at riverside. It was a breath-taking view. Reminds me of Singapore- they kinda looked alike with the river and skyline. To cut the story short, the celebration was OK...we had some good BBQ food and had few games like chinese whisper which I called it 'bisikan cina' and Badi commenting it sounded like a romantic novel haha and also captain ball with slight different rules introduced. More physical games... Oh yea there was a 'drama' just now where Yil's ball flew into the river but this boy's (Stuart) mom came to the rescue to get the ball. Some of us tried to stop her from doing it but she insisted saying that it wasn't that dangerous. Even I wouldn't have risked my life for some costly things, and this one is just a $3 netball. Well, it was an experience to witness that. We took a lot of pics on our way back not to waste the spectacular view along the way home. Again it's tiring..but now I'm doing this entry. Actually I was searching for information for my Anat assignment but now I'm taking a break. There will be a Champion leagues semi-final match later on and I intend to watch it. So I'm still thinking whether to sleep or just stay up and do something. On the other hand I have this BSS meeting later in the noon and so need to get some rest. So not looking forward to it, just so many things to discuss on.. Oh well.. Right that's all for now..Signing off

Hello again..

It seems like ages ago since my last entry. Many things did happen but I guess we could leave some of that aside. Today I woke up really late like at around 12pm. And that's if not because of Damit who gave me the wake up call.. He was already at Musolla cutting up the chicken wings and wanted me to help him buy some necessities for the Maulud celebration later on.. So at Musolla, we cleaned the chicken wings and fried them from 1 til around 5 plus.. That was really really tiring..But the event turned out smooth and well... I actually liked the talk by a Malaysian brother on the Spread of Islam from the past til present..The way he presented was not intimidating (if u know what I mean) and it gives us the opportunity to reflect and correct ourselves. Although I've heard this advice a number of times-from friday sermons and ceramahs, I'm still striving to attain this. Well after that we had the Isya prayer followed by a Zikir led by us, the Bruneian guys.. It was funny to see others puzzled with our style of zikir..Some were like scratching their heads..hehe that was funny. Doing this zikir makes me feel like I should have done this more often in the past.. The food we cooked was luckily enough even though it was basic western and I think everyone was having a good time. Then back at home, SZ came to sleep over because of the pump it day tomorrow. Damit, Ran, SZ and I played a video game of Pro evo soccer on SZ's laptop just to relax a bit. After that, this is what I'm doing blogging very late at night.
Tomorrow's a physical day..I should be in bed by now..But since I woke up late just now my biological clock has ofcourse followed suit. Speaking of Pump-it day, I'm really looking forward to it. Especially for the frisbee part..I mean we've been practising like forever..There's no reason we can't win haha that's if we all are in the same team.. I don't intend to win the movie ticket..I mean I haven't even touched my Gold class ticket yet. Good thing it has a one year's validity. Well, I just wana have some competitive fun. Just the feeling of winning should be enough :D.
It's just the beginning of easter break. And I foresee this holiday as a stressful one.. I hate all the assignments I have to do.. It's not piling up but it's already a pile! And practical exams are coming up. I can't prioritise any coz all accounts for the final assessment mark. The most important thing I need to get over with is my part on the Cardio essay, just the thought of it drives me insane. And what can I say for Anat assignment... It's the same. It's a good thing that some of the tests were already past.. At present I'm happy with my Anat spotter and Viro presentation marks so I need to keep this consistent.. I know it's tough but not impossible.. K I guess I'll stop for now...Adios...

Another busy weekend..

Sigh...It's Monday..well now Tuesday morning. I'm so exhausted, tired- physically & academically.. I did not listen to much of the lectures today plus the viro prac was really long and confusing..argh.. Anyway, last Saturday the BSS organised FUTSAL tournament. We had to be there early and stayed there like until 4pm. I was in charge of taking photographs for this event and I must admit that the photos suck. Many blurred ones.. The matches were exciting overall..The finals was between a Malaysian team & Centro. A very close game that only penalties determined the champions- this year belongs to Centro.. I supported Maximus but they lost earlier to Centro in the semis. It would have been better if Maximus were to be in the final against Centro.. The event was generally a success except for the fact that we didn't get to really sell our home-made sandwiches. The price we set was $1. That was probably the mistake. In the end, the remaining sandwiches were distributed free of charge. Lucky to those who could stand long enough not eating. Well that afternoon, there was supposed to be a game of netball but I had to head home fast & get ready coz me, Nawi, Fariz and Aimi had to meet up with the Hicom & Uncle Marzuki for the event next day- Minister of Edu's visit.
I actually didn't know what to do as we discussed about the event. So I thought as an assistant secretary, I should be doing something. Ting! Maybe I should be jotting down all the particulars needed for tomorrow. Yea..like duh. Then we checked the ballroom, ensuring the no of seats are correct etc and not long after my parents called. They were just telling me that the Minister has flown haha and would be staying in Spore overnight. That was unnecessary but yea it was nice to hear from them again then. The meeting wasn't that long so the hi-com decided to treat us for dinner. This part actually took most of the time.. We were like restaurant-hunting. It was a Saturday night so you might have guessed it- many shops were closed. Anyway we first made our way to Satay Club which was like miles away (far opposite) and it was closed. Then Nawi decided that maybe we could eat at West End but the taxi could only accomodate 4 ppl..so that was ruled out. After that we thought maybe we could just have a drink at Starbucks. Crowded. We ended up eating at Sizzlers. My 1st time! We had this seafood platter, 3 huge plates of calamaris, prawns!, fish cod, fries shared between 6. There were unlimited drinks too, a buffet of salads and desserts. If you know me..I wouldn't waste the opportunity. I ate as much as I can. I mean the hi-com paid $92 jus for this and it better be worth it.. As they say ' Makan sini skali stahun gnya' haha which is true..Crazy just a plate costs $20+. Chatted this & that and headed home. Oh yea, met Dibah for the 2nd time haha...
On Sunday, I woke up a bit late..Coz so tired.. Did some anat revision & laundry and was almost 3. We had to catch an early bus and train to reach at the Sofitel hotel in time. There wasn't much happening. Anyway, let's jump straight away. I got to sit at the same table with the minister! Somehow feel honoured..Hehe :D but then we had to control our eating.. :S Haha that is not me.. I eat a lot! Looking around ppl just constantly getting up refilling their plates. I can't deny there was an envious feeling inside hahaha.. Well only after the dessert that the minister said "Bah, jgntah malu2.." so what else, I got up and got my refill of dessert. The dessert was awesome- cheese cake n choc cake. Yum~. We ended the event with photograph-taking. We went back in bunch to the bus station looking like drunks along the way haha...So hyper..So there goes my weekend...
